I doubt it very much! He is still a very good player, but you have to see thing as Stevie Mac does - he's just too old. The squad will be chosen regarding who's gonna be both young enough and good enough in 2008 and 2010. To be honest, Becks is already past it. He's not coming back. Face it. :-(

I hope not. I mean the problem with England and is that they go by the name... how famous is my player?
Don't matter if he's injured or hasn't played for weeks/months....

Good on Mc Laren someone finally understand that to win matches you need to pick your best/currently playing/on form players.... not victoria beckham's husband....

he does not deserve his place back and hopefully he will never get it

Yes, as long as there is some kind of horrible Premierleague flu that knocks out the multitude of english players that are better than him.

Someone should have pointed out to him that you need to do more than take freekicks and corners (p.s. he can't take penalties).

There is always that chance, but I don't think it'll happen. McClaren is looking to the future, and with that being said, he's looking for some young talent that he can "nurture" for the big tournaments coming up in the next few years.

Not a chance.
He is fighting too many other that are more talented and consistent than him and being in the USA means that everyone in UK will forget him :-)

Why should he get it back? There's a bunch of English midfielders that are younger and better than him. He's way past his sell-by date.
