small towns because once you’ve seen the cannon in the park there’s little else to do?

I live in a semi-small town (population around 30,000, but was under 10,000 when we moved here). I feel cheated.. we do not HAVE a cannon in the park. I feel so deprived.

I like small towns. I love the cannon in the park. I love the "old" downtown of my town. I moved here when the population was 25,000 and now it is close to 62,000. It has changed to a more impersonal atmosphere and more people here are now rude and could care less for being courteous while driving. There are more signals at the corners that once had stop signs, I love those 4-way stop signs. I loved getting across town quickly and now it takes twice as long.

Yes, I live outside a big city and I start going crazy in small towns. I really can't stand having to drive 45 min-1 hr to get anywhere either.

I love small towns....

A cannon would be a high light!!!

I lived in three very large cities .....

Felt like an ant being shuv'de around.....

And the closest to a home cooked meal...

Would be the local sandwich shop..!!!

hell yeah! i'd rather walk around a big city that doesn't have a reputation for crime late at night than some crappy small town where nobody can mind their own business simply because they all know each other! i bet there are a couple of people in small towns that have read other people's diaries late at night to satisfy their sick nosey needs!

I love being in a small town...everyone knows eachother and makes it safer when you have a family...somewhat...Its like one big family...and the smaller the city is the easier it is to leave....couple blocks and you are in another town..lol
