A secret brushstroke in Okami (PS2)?

Question

For those of you who have beaten the game already and are already on your second playthrough (or not), have you ever tried drawing a six pointed cross like this?

It wasn't mentioned anywhere in the Bradygames guidebook and I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it. If not, what it does is it showers the enemy in a cascade of ice that freezes them solid!

Yeah. At first i was shock too to learn that there is a secret brush technique in the game. I only learned about it when i started to play for the second time. However, there is a hint somewhere in the game that shows this secret brush technique. Do you remember when you fight with the big boss ninetails? Well when you freeze the frame (pressing R1), ninetails will counter-attack you by using brush technique as well and ninetails will sometimes draw the six pointed cross and i was frozen solid after wards. I guess it is the way the game show you the secret brush technique.
