sorry, but when it comes to children in this country. By being male, you have no rights except the knowledge that you will be forced to pay for the mothers welfare rather than the childs. Only fair system I see is if either child lives with both or non at all and BOTH parents, not just the male, to pay for their childs support under his/her foster parents. But since that will never happen, your SOL : **** outa luck. Sorry :S

Of course its legal. YOUR child is entitled to the money orderded by the court. Just because through no fault of your own YOUR child didn't get the money, doesn't mean you can simply write it off. As between you and YOUR child, who is more at fault? You owe the money. And don't give me this, "Im not paying my child, I'm paying the mother," line. The money is for YOUR child. If you don't feel like the amount is justified you can always petition the court or seek custody.

Even if it is not a mistake on your part, they will likely make you pay it. you can challenge it, but don't expect to win. It suck, I know, but the CS laws in this country are set up to screw you everytime.
