If you want to add a temporary path which will be removed when you switch off the computer, then just go to start -> run and type in the path (ie: c:\my folder or \\computername\folder if you are accessing a remote computer on your network).

If you want to load up your path\drive everytime you start the computer then you need to map a network drive (obviously this is only valid if you wish to had a path other than local which would be accessible everytime you bootup). You can do this via Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Map a network drive (don't forget to check the box Reconnect at logon).

Now if you want to create a completely new drive to your local disk you'll need a software such as Partition Magic or simply by a new hard drive and install on your computer.

hope this helps

I'm sorry Peter, I can't quite gather what it is you're attempting to do.

A path is simply an instruction on the organisation of files on your hard drive. For instance, if you've made a folder called Peter's Photos on your C: drive, the path would be C:\Peter's Photos.

If you wish to see what sites you have marked as bookmarks, the path would be C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Favorites, or C:\Documents and Settings\Peter \Favorites.

If I'm wide of the mark with what it is you wish to know, you can either try rephrasing your question, or contact me via my email address. I'll do whatever I can to help you.
