Like another poster said--Poverty is relative. If half of America had 1 billion dollars and the other half had 2 billion the former would be considered poor.

We can't. Poverty is relative. Theoretically, we could stop eating beef and use the land and water to grow food. The US could stop paying farmers to destroy their crops and instead send them to people who don't have enough food. We could stop buying things made in China that perpetuates paying people horribly low wages while taking work away from Americans. We could require young people in developed countries to take two years (after high school and before college) to go to less developed countries to teach people how to have clean water, etc.

there really is no way. If we do be able to manage this, however, it would only lead to other problems. It's really not fair and sad but it is the truth of reality, or at least for now.
