The nature of the business is almost the same. Email, Web Page, Listed websites...
If you have been with Yahoo! for less than one year as a regular employee full benefits free schedule, the manager might take it personally that they showed you around the company as a tour guide, including the industry information beyond a 4 year University, other personal trade secrets such as best place to get break food to auto insurance.

Wow, why are you airing your dirty laundry on a YAHOO site? Anyway, you need to check to see what exactly it was that you signed, many companies have non-competition clauses, but that usu sally refers to you working simultaneously, not leaving one job for another. I had to sign one saying I will not work for another bank, but of course I can shop around at different banks. Be careful, I know someone who just got fired for this very reason, do your research so you can transition smoothly without any disruptions or being fired.

Go for it, go for the gold (if you know you can) and dont settle for the peice of coal you allready have, if you know you can, and are positively sure you wont break your peice of coal, and not in return get the gold. Then get the gold, cherish it, then when your ready to move toward the diamonds, go for it.

Wanna know why this guy is leaving Yahoo?
Look at this:
Yahoo saff is TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE!
Check out this string of communications:
I want to know why Betamail does not support Korean characters when regular Yahoo email does.
You did not apologize for calling Korean Characters Chinese or Japanese. You did not address any of the points in my previous email.
You said your name was Jason.
Jason, if customers are angry, you had better spend the time to read their email carefully and find out WHY they are upset. If you skim over and don't answer, people get MORE angry. You had some training, right? Let's see some professional attitude!
Can't you ANSWER quesitons based on what has been going on in the previous 3 emails?!
Has my email been forwarded to Yahoo Management AS REQUESTED?!
Anaswer these points, please. Are you going to get in trouble over this? I don't think so. It is YOUR JOB, right? If you can't find the answer, TELL ME that you can't. That is a limitation placed on you by YOUR SUPERVISOR. It is NOT YOUR FAULT. But, you have to be honest about it and let me know. Otherwise, with the kind of dismissive attitude that you show, you are going to be the one with all the trouble.
I hope I don't sound nasty to you--it is nothing personal against you. It is the attitude you put out, either because of the limitations placed on you by Yahoo or just your whole attitude towards life.
I am a PERSON here at the other end, with a PROBLEM. I am not stupid. I told you that I have BEEN reading Korean characters in my mail for YEARS. Where do you get off telling me that it is NOT possible?! That answer is for NOVICES. I am NOT a novice. Get with it!
I await your answer regarding 3 main points:
1. Apology for lumping Korean characters in with Chinese and Japanese.
2. Forwarding of the mail, including this one to Yahoo Management.
3. Telephone number or email where I can contact a QUALIFIED Yahoo Technician regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
Joe Lamont

Customer Service,
You gave me an answer about your
Yahoo capabilities.
You said that Yahoo does not support
Japanese and Chinese characters (I was
asking about KOREAN--It is NOT the
same thing. It is INSULTING to
Koreans to answer that way! Don't you
even know that Korea is a different
country from China and Japan and that
they have a very hostile history?! I
would never call a Korean person
Chinese or Japanese, or vice-versa.
To be in Customer care dealing with
people from various cultures, you
should first get some training in
being "Culturally-aware" so as to not
alienate (pun intended) your
Customers! I learned about China,
Japan and Korea in Elementary school!)
Anyway this is not true.
I have been reading emails written
in BOTH Japanese and Korean up until I
started using your Betamail.
I think it is a problem with
Betamail.
You have to FORWARD this message to
your Technicians and THEY have to run
a CHECK on the system.
Furthermore, as I told you in the
message, other characters DO work but
not Korean.
Why don't you READ my message, TEST
what's wrong, and THEN reply instead
of just thinking of an answer off the
top of your head?
The message was written BY a Yahoo
user, using Yahoo mail in Korea. They
were using your OWN system's input,
not some word-processing program.
Haven't you ever heard of an IME?
Also, I want you to find out WHO
exactly "Jenny" and "Catherine"
consulted with about this question. I
assume they sent an email of the
problem to some technician, as they
are just receptionists. You can't
have receptionists sitting there
writing whatever sounds nice to the
customers. You are going to lose
customers that way!
I expect a thorough answer.
I expect a telephone number to your
Technical department where I can talk
with someone.
I expect this emial to be forwarded
to the management of Yahoo, not just
your supervisor, AND I expect a note
attached saying that I want someone in
the Administrative Offices
(Management) to send me a reply
concerning the WHOLE body of ths email
(the original, Catherine's reply, my
second email, Jenny's reply, and THIS
third email.)
Thank you,
Joe

Hello Joe,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mail.
Although we are continuously working
on improvements to our service,
Yahoo! Mail does not currently support
non-Roman characters (such as
Chinese and Japanese). As a result,
any messages that include these
characters may appear unreadable.
If possible, please have the sender re-
send the message using a US-ASCII
character set.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo!

Yahoo,
Please read my original message at
the end of this message. It is very
clear as to exactly what the problem
is.
Your Yahoo email system does NOT give
me the choice of selecting encoding by
using my browser. I get a message
saying "select using "More Actions"
WITHIN the Yahoo email program. When
I TRY to do that, the Korean--ONLY THE
KOREAN--does not work. Have you tried
it yourselves? DO IT!!
How are YOU going to fix the problem?
Please, don't send me an email which
has nothing to do with what I
specifically asked you.
ACKNOWLEDGE that there is a PROBLEM
with your system. If you cannot
support the Korean encoding, SAY SO!!
Then, FIGURE OUT how to SOLVE the
problem!! Then, let me know what you
are doing or have done about it!!
Message from Yahoo, followed by my
original message. Please, read it
all!!
Hello Joe,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mail.
We understand you're experiencing
difficulty with foreign language
character encoding viewed from within
the Yahoo! Mail Beta client. Due
to the wide variety of character
encoding available, you may only be
able to read certain types of
character encoding.
If you're seeing garbled characters,
we recommend adjusting your
browser's character encoding setting.
We've provided instructions for
the most popular browsers below:
Internet Explorer 7.0:
1. Click the View menu.
2. Select Encoding.
3. Click Auto-Select.
Once you've finished viewing a
message, you may need to restore the
original character encoding setting to
view other web sites properly.
If you are viewing a message with
mixed encoding, unfortunately only
one
character encoding set may be viewed
at a time.
Have a great day!
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo!
Customer Care.
Regards,
Catherine

I am trying to read Korean.
When I go to "More Actions" and
choose "Encodings" all of them work on
the drop down menu EXCEPT Korean!
"East Asia" does not work.
Please try it a few times. The menu
of East Asian Languages appears, but
when you move your cursor over to
select one, the menu disappears!
I need to SEE the Korean characters
NOW--it is URGENT!!
Please TEST your pages more often to
make sure they are working properly!!
