You need a good degreaser. If you go to Home Depot, they have a product in the paint department called Krud Kutter. Use a big splash of it in hot water, mop. Repeat several times and it will help get it up.

I agree with everyone that said Dawn dishwashing detergent. Its the best, here where we live, every mechanic shop has it and say it the best there is for cleaning oil and grease. I never buy a clothing spot remover anymore. Put straight Dawn on the stain and wash it, it will come clean. But do this before you wash and dry it, once that is done the stain is set. The next important thing is hot water for your problem. Dawn and hot water, you need hot water to cut the grease.

Use Dawn dishwashing soap to clean the cooking oil off the floor. It may take more than one try but Dawn will remove the oil.

Try this I had to do it once and it worked for me....
A puddle of oil on your kitchen floor can grow bigger and even more slippery when mixed with soap and water. There's a much better way to clean up oily accidents. This remedy also works for broken eggs.
Instructions
STEP 1: Sprinkle the puddle with a very generous amount of salt. (If you run out of salt, pour flour on the spill and mix before sweeping.)
STEP 2: Let it soak for a few minutes.
STEP 3: Sweep up the salt.
STEP 4: Clean the remaining film of oil with a few drops of dishwashing liquid and damp paper towels.

Baby powder. Sprinkle over oil let set for a while and then mop. Or kitty litter a bit messier than baby powder but it works. Mix of lestoil and a bit of clorox will get the rest,
