Does anyone know of any good historic movies? Maybe from colonial America? Or even earlier periods? I liked movies such as The Patriot, Little Women, Glory, etc.

Dances from Wolves, Gettysburg, are good ones from the Civil War time period. Also, Gone with the Wind for the Civil War (A stretch)

one of my all time favorites is 'Lawrence of Arabia' with peter O'Toole. it is based on an actual persons life and is amazing.
