The MA plan is a smokescreen. Doesn't do much except allow Romney to say he did something.
No Republican will solve the health care problem, because business has to lose and no Repub will put the people above business.

What he did in Mass., is not universal health care. He is requiring everyone to have medical insurance. I do not think this will work in the rest of America as there is to many impoverished people that cannot afford it and the cost would be inhibiting. I think the only way to have universal heath care is to take the insurance company's profit out of it. Open government sponsored hospitals and clinic's to compete with the private sector. We do have a form of socialized medicine in place with the VA hospitals and Medicare and Medicaid that could be expanded to include so many more people.

I keep hoping for universal healthcare. We already have a great universal healthcare system, if you are over 62 (or is it 65 now?) The insurance, pharmacy, and health care companies will pay billions of dollars to keep universal healthcare from happening. It has already been proven that people in America will pay more attention to scare ads than what is really the best for them. I am tired of having students who are sick and can only go to the doctor if they are sick enough for the emergency room. Don't people understand that we are already paying for healthcare with our taxes? Why can't we really make a difference and act like a true loving and Christian nation and love our neighbors and make them healthy.

Doing it in one state is different than for the whole country. He probably did it as a concession to the liberals in Mass. Many Americans, and the majority of conservatives, do not want a universal healthcare system where the gov't is involved in medical decisions. It hasn't worked in Canada or Europe, so why try it here?

Probably not, but he can get us into a war with Iran, just like he was spouting off today!
It isn't business that loses, it is people who make multi-million dollar salaries, 10's of millions in bonuses and pay their stockholders who don't do a damn thing, while they deny benefits. like Anthem!
There is so much corruption in the medical field, and the reality is we all pay anyway, just some rake a big portion off the top!

Aask the 45,000,000 people in America that do NOT have any health care whether he can and should do it?
Personally I don't think that "IF" he was elected that he could get that done with all of the meat-head Republican that would have a coronary with this issue.

nicely, you spot there is this 10th modification element that reserves to the states the potential to do issues like that. the actuality that it grew to become into such a extensive failure might desire to have been a message to Obama yet curiously he wasn't clever adequate to appreciate.

For an excellent indicator of Mitt Romney's level of engagement with reality, read The Book of Mormon and realize he believes every word of it.

Universal health care is a pipe dream. Mitt is closer to conservative than most candidates, and will more likely than not leave it to the states anyway.
When the gov't gets it's hands on anything, it is doomed. Historical fact.
P.S. I am from Mass too, and am a huge Romney fan.

No, I don't believe he can. Congress will not support his vision of universal healthcare.
