Let's say you were pregnant. And there were major complications going on. The doc says there is 99% chance you and the baby will die if you carry the baby to full term. Let's say you were a single mom with 2 other kids and no husband because the husband died of cancer a few months ago. The doc gives you an option to abort or not. You are going through a lot of stress at this time.
Do you want a stranger butting into you and your docs conversation, going through your medical records, telling you what you can or cant do with yourself? As a woman wouldn't you feel insulted to know that the govt doesnt trust your judgement as to whether or not you will make the right choice?

Matt....If Americans arent stupid then why do prolifers treat them that way and want to take away the choice of the woman? Do prolifers think women are too stupid to think for themselves and can't make the right choice?

Why would the gov't do that? Any pro-life person will tell you that abortion is wrong except in the case of rape, incest, or medical emergency. Don't distort peoples opinions just to push your own agency. It is sad and pathetic and that is the reason less people agree with you today than ever before. Americans arent stupid, so dont treat them that way.

The government isn't a physician and they have no right sticking their nose in things that aren't there issue!
Many think that the Separation of Church and State was to protect people from the government! Just the reverse is true! It is to protect the government from religion, and that is my greatest issue with those who want to lay their religious values on me. I have my own!
The Catholic Church was never against abortion on Moral grounds and though their position changed on abortion it was NOT on moral grounds!
Wanna preach? Go to church!

Why do liberals always use such extreme examples. It is only because you want to have abortion be an excepted norm. It isn't.
