I don't think there is anyone on the planet that would honestly say to themselves that they have never experienced "sorrow" or "despair." Even if they haven't, it is only a matter of time. Some people might die before they are given the chance, but there is hardly a reliable way to communicate with them. We are all constantly eroded by the sands of time.
A focus on despair should not serve to blind us from seeing the big picture; from recognizing the beautiful sadness that is life. Our pasts are eternal, as though we have engraved them in stone, never to be changed again. It is sad that the beauty of our lives must end, but it is with the end that the present gains significance. For if anything good can be done, it must be done NOW or it may never come to be.

I like to think of despair as the loss of all love. If you can't love anyone, then you lose trust in others and you start to keep to yourself.
I have often thought that i have known true sorrow when someone i loved died, or my gf and me break up, or any other type of loss. BUT, i've found that through loss, you realize how many love you, and how many people are there to help you.
So no, i have not known true sorrow. Because no matter how alone you feel, there is always someone there to help you.

Of course. Anyone who has lost a loved one has true sorrow. Any person who has feelings has felt deep pain and loss. It is a human condition.

Who hasn't?
Some for a short time, some for a long time, some hidden, some not. Some big, some small...
But first, not all sorrow is the same. We all have different sorrows as in what you think is a huge deal to me may not.

Of course I have. I lost my beloved mother suddenly, four days after her 45th bd. She had a heart attack on her bd. That was 81/2 years ago. Kinda sucky eh? And I also suffer from bipolar disease. So yeah, sometimes life sucks...hard. But we all get through it. And believe me, I have tried attempting suicide on four separate occasions...so I've been there. It may not seem like it when depression smothers the life out of logic sense, but things do find a way of working itself out...sometimes for the better, sometimes not. But its beautiful...live freely. I hope I helped.

A stupid, foolish, idiotic bastard of a teenaged kid killed my cousin when the 2 of us just graduated from high school. She was violently killed. The pain I felt, I don't wish that upon anyone.
