Republicans want to make the rich richer, using the rationale that some of it will trickle down to the working class. They also like to deregulate everything, regardless of the consequences. They favor corporate welfare, and progress over the environment.
Democrats usually fight for a system that is more fair for everyone. They regulate in the interest of fairness, safety, and consumer protection. They want everyone to pay their fair share of the taxes, and work to protect the environment.

the main distinction between Republicans and Democrats are that Republicans have a extra strict interpretation of the form and Democrates have a extra loose interpretation of the form. additionally no that's not genuine that republicans in basic terms make the wealthy richer and supply help to those that can already help themselves yet republicans do attempt to advantages people who worked difficult for what they have and that they are additionally for the middle type, if thats what you recommend? Democrates are extra for taking from specific issues and giving to the undesirable in a feeling yet that is going extra into unions. Regardless they're 2 distinctive political events with distinctive perspectives on rights: Republicans~ ~ professional-life ~anti-gay marriage Democrates~ ~professional-determination ~professional-gay marriage they the two have extra perspectives in simple terms look and stuff!

There's a lot of differences and similarities between both major parties in the United States. The simplest way to explain it is to say that the Republican party is against government intervention in the economy, which has them called the "big business" party but is for government intervention in people's lives. For example, Republicans are for lower taxes, only for upper income people, because they believe it increases worker incentive; if the government is taking less of your money, you have more reason to work hard and make lots of money, and the economy does well when everybody is working hard. And, if you're an economist, you believe that when the economy is doing well, people are doing well. Republicans, however, do believe in government intervention when it comes to social issues. They believe that homosexuals should not have the same rights as heterosexuals and they, except for Giuliani, oppose abortion rights. There are some contradictions in the Republican party, however. For example, they advocate tarrifs, which actually hurt the market economy, because they seem patriotic when they support tarrifs. Another contradiction in the Republican Party is their belief that there isn't enough federal revenue to fund new programs, but they spend a helluva lotta money on the military. The Democrats believe that the government needs to help the poor that the market economy leaves out. They believe it is the government's job to fund programs to help the poor so, when Democrats are in power, there is increased spending on welfare and old people. They are often seen as the "big government" party for this reason, but I find that ironic because one could just as easily call the Republican party a "big government" party for intervening in people's lives and poor countries. One way in which the Democrats are not a "big government party" is that they believe freedoms should be increased. They believe burning a flag should be considered a form of freedom of speech and they tend to support gay marriages and abortion rights. Some people may argue, however, that the Democratic party contradicts itself by opposing the freedom of speech of the Christian churches. Democrats are usually the ones who oppose the Ten Commandments being placed in public places. In general though, both parties have one major thing in common. All they care about is getting the vote. The real reason they support certain issues and not other issues is because they have a voter base that they need to get to the polls by supporting issues that the voter base supports.

There are a couple of differences that many subscribe to.
One is that Republicans believe that this country is a confederation of states and that the real power should belong to the states. Whereas Democrats believe that the real power should belong to the federation.
Another is that Republicans believe that a certain portion of the populace have the right to rule: due to wealth, intellect, property ownership, or whatever. And that Democrats believe that the government should be ruled by the majority. No matter what.

Neither party has spelled out a clear definition as to what it stands for. One must instead look at the kind of laws they promote.
The Democrats generally push for economic and political justice for all, without favoritism for any one social, economic, political, racial, ethnic, sexual, or any other class. They believe there should be a level playing field, and that individuals should have the right to make decisions that involve no one but them. They try to look at the long range best interests of the country and its people, and under Bill Clinton they developed a budget surplus. They support such important measures as health care for all, quality education at affordable prices, and legislation to protect the environment. Most Democrats support strong actions against terrorism and working as part of the international community to both prevent war and reduce terrorist threats.
Republicans generally want to do everything possible to support business interests; the bigger the business, the better. They do not care about the future, but oppose legislation to protect the government, and they have gladly increased the national debt so that the next generation will have to pay for their luxuries. They favor anything that will help the wealthy, figuring that everyone else should be satisfied with the leftover crumbs. They wish to impose their private views of morality on everyone. Most Republicans support an agressive foreign policy involving a lack of respect for other people and countries while imposing our own agenda that will favor big business. They like to talk about terrorism, but are not willing to take the steps needed to stop it (protect the ports, go after Osama Bin Laden, establish good communication with countries who do not share all our views, etc.)

It varies with the times, and the democratic party varies on economic issuses regrading taxation. Morally it varies on social issues, but it dam nanny when it comes to smoking, drinking, twinkies, driving. The republican party just like low taxes, and mainly just wants to regulate morals not so much the things you put into the body. Democrats will tend to favour higher on wealthy people, and the republican lower taxes for all. The differance between republicans and democrats is blurring more and more at the local level, and sliptering more and more at the federal level. Too many left-wing populists democrats, and too happy right-wing nationalist republicans that corrode unity, understanding common sense.

Mama always told me about the birds and the bees but she said the Donkeys and the Elephants would make my head spin. I guess the donkeys are hard, steady workers and the elephants are slow but effective workers, either way the job will eventually get done its just that its going to require more than 8 years to do it. Maybe someone needs to stay in the White House until the American People Vote him or her out. Now thats what you call power to the people my sister

There aren't really any differences especially today. They all talk to much, lie to much, spend to much, listen to lobbyists to much, will do anything to get reelected/elected, can't keep a promises, are addicted to power, and will almost never admit they are wrong. Oh and they love to watch themselves on TV.
