I have a few ideas:
1.) A song (or poem, depending on musical ability) written especially for me.
2.) Some reflection of himself I construed into a necklace (in my case this would be a guitar pick, but other ideas include charms of a sports player's number, a locket with pictures inside, a class ring that doesn't necessarily have to be put on a chain). Remember that whatever you pick has to remind her of something she finds endearing about you, otherwise it'll just seem self absorbed.
3.) A hand sewn pillowcase. C'mon. It's two squares of fabric sewn together. Why do I want this? Well, when I can't be with him at night, I'd like to sleep on something he made.
4.) A little box (I'm talking palm sized) of any material or design, with various treasures in it; pictures, dried flowers (from a special location perhaps?), tidbits of writing or poems, a tealight candle, a ring that doesn't have to cost more than a sandwhich as long as it was chosen with care, a beautiful little something to wear in my hair, etc.

no cheap gadgety gifts... If my husband buys me another type of jump drive I will just smile and stash it away.. lol.. Try some pretty under wear, pretty nighties,(I like girly stuff over raunchie), a nice bracelette or necklace... It will probably be super busy at every resturant, so maybe a nice dinner in that you can make together, or reservations... I like doing something rather tan getting something, so maybe trying some new activity that you are both interested in... good luck,,

Send me to the day spa. Then when I get back my kids will be at my parents for the night. He'll have candles and an ice bucket on the floor. Music, not too loud and ky warming liquid. I wont see him anywhere. Then Ill hear a knock at the door. Ill answer and he'll be in his sexy work uniform(as a stranger). He'll want to sell me something and Ill tell him Im lonely,my husband is out of town. Ill come on to him, kiss his neck and rub his package. Then, you know what happens. ;)

It varies from girl to girl.

Some like, candy, chocolate, teddy bears, roses... generic valentines gift.

Some like a romantic dinner date.

Some like tickets to a heavy metal concert.

As I said, it depends on who you're giving the gift to.

I saw a jewelry commercial that ticked me off. The guy threw out the card he was going to give her, and looked contentedly at his jewelry bag. Not ALL people are superficial, materialistic... (fade out as tirade continues...)

Jewelry! Always jewelry. We love the bling, so you might as well get used to it. Happy Valentines Day!
