Actually, I snore a little bit, but my husband always falls asleep before me.

Because maybe that 1/5 snorers have sleep apnea. With this disese, you can fall asleep at random times during the day, and you also don't brethe as much as a normal human.

because if your really tired you fall asleep quicker and you're more likely to snore if your very tired

Serious answer: Because snorers don't breathe well, don't get enough deep sleep, and stay sleepier.
