It doesn't ever go away. Ever. I'm serious. I can lick my arm in the middle of March after not being in the water for a month after championships and I can still smell chlorine. (I usually get back in around then for spring conditioning though!) You can use scented soaps and lotions to try to mask the scent, but you'll never get rid of it until the day you stop going in chlorinated swimming pools!

:) This question makes me smile. Most us swimmers embrace the chlorine smell! Our lives have become swimming and only swimming. Haha.
But that being said, there are ways to make the smell a little less apparent to you and other people. I found that you'll smell more of chlorine when your skin is still dry. So make sure to keep moisturized!
And it's pretty much as simple as taking a shower right after you swim. Just run from the pool to the locker room and rinse down. Make sure to use shampoo for your hair and a body wash that sits well with your skin. I usually use a moisturizing body wash because my skin drys up easily from the cholrine as well.
If you are still bothered by any lingering smell, put on some lotion after you showered and dried up! I know smelly Bath&Body lotions aren't everyone's cup of tea, but that doesn't mean a plain scentless lotion won't help either. It's great and keeps your skin happy :)

I shower right after swimming, and really scrub that soap. Then, I shower really well the next day too to make sure that all the chlorine is off of me.
If it's the chlorine in the hair that you worry about too, most shampoos don't really get the chlorine off that well. I use a brand called "UltraSwim" and it's especially for chlorine removal. It works really well!

if your a swimmer and you don't like the smell of chlorine...
you must not be serious about the sport
when i took a blood test they said i had alot of chlorine in my blood
i bleed chlroine

Be proud of your smell. It never goes away. I swim 9 months out of the year. I have never not smelled like chlorine.

Take a shower every day and wash your swimming garments often.

it kinda always sticks.
try using ultra swim shampoo and conditioner.
