Any adoption that takes place without red tape is illegal. Sorry, you have to go through the process.

Well sorry to tell you this, but "all the red tape" is what makes you legally the parent and gives you custody. If you're talking about not dealing with an adoption agency, and finding someone who wants to give up their baby and feels that you would be a good parent for it, check out different adoption sites to find good information about what the process is and tips on how to go about it. Seriously, you can probably get some good information just by doing a yahoo search on "adoption"

If you want to adopt a baby badly enough you will be willing to go through the inevitable red tape that is involved in making sure the adoption is legal, that the child is right for you, and that you will be right for the child.
I have an adopted son and two biological children, and I can honestly tell my adopted son that it was a whole lot more difficult and a whole lot more work and worry to become his mother than it was to have his two siblings.
If you have nothing to hide you'll go through all that work and red tape happily.

The red tape exists for a reason--to make sure that the best matchup occurs for the child and the parents.

Sorry, you have to go through all the investigations and redtape, either here in the US or abroad to legally adopt a child. It's for the best to make sure that everyone involved is a good match.
