Bought a couple of these for my girlfriend. She has never worn anything like this. Got them from Frederick's online. According to her, they are lace halter chemises. She picked them out and I ordered them for her. They have side spaghetti straps, but the straps don't fit her right over the shoulders. Straps either are too small or too large, even though the chemise is the right size. The straps don't seem to go anywhere else - but she isn't sure if they go over the shoulders or not. Straps seem useless since the halter part goes around the neck. Straps are permanently attached and are not removable. None of the catalog pics or online pics show these straps. Ladies - some advice please.

Are they skinny? They sound like the straps they put on tops so it makes it easier to put on a hanger. I usually end up cutting those off, make sure that's what they are first before getting rid of them.

Aren't these straps used for hanging?
