As one ages, usually comes maturity to be patient and NOT want to just lash out or be violent. HOWEVER, (and I'm an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree) .. there are still those individuals who NEVER grew up and are just out there wanting to fight all the time. That is what jails are for!

I would say only some people mature with age,
At my job, most of the people that make fun of people and put others down, are older.

Sorry, man. Some folks mature, others just get older. Most people learn how to get along with others eventually, and that includes not making fun of other people and fighting, etc. Some never get it.

Some do mature and some don't at all. I would say middle school and high schoolers are the one who make fun of kids and all kinds of people...some in college...but they should be growing up a bit more.

people mature slowly, there's still quite a lot of that in college and it is still prevalent in some adults..maturity depends on the individual involved, age has nothing to do with it

No --some don't. I've met some in their early 20's who are more mature than some in their 50's.

I do hope this question is coming from a 14 year old.
Trust me, as a 44 year old woman, some people never grow out of such nonsense, however, for the most part.. most do.
