Its suppose to be live but I agree sometimes they tape ahead for certain days

Depends on where you live. If you EST, then yes, it's Live. Same with Saturday Night Live. If you're EST, then yes, it's Live.

Shows go live to EST. So even if they are shot in LA, they go live to the East Coast and broadcast a taping for the rest of the time zones.
