Disheveled and disgusting. Here's an interesting fact for you...My father was a police officer and provided security for her and Jimi Hendrix at a concert they did in NYC. Now, my dad had seen, and smelled just about every crime scene immaginable, but he says that Janis Joplin was, by far, the WORST SMELLING thing he had ever smelled.
So, if you're looking to copy her look...Please DON'T copy her scent.

Wasted bargain basement hippy. I thought she was a very pretty girl but her fashion sense was just wrong. The big day-glo feathers, polyester pant suits and hurricane hair was rough even for the times.
