The strangest thing I've ever seen was the Indian whose body had absorbed his twin brother in the womb. He grew to adulthood and had an enormous stomach. When the surgeons removed, what they thought was a cyst, it turned out to be the man's twin brother, or the remains of his twin brother. It had hair and flesh and skin, bones and teeth. Creepy to say the least.

It convinces me even more that people need to be firm with their doctors. I know we want to respect them, concede to their superior knowledge, but...more and more frequently (perhaps because, as I get older, I am more familiar with the way my body works), I am less content to hear a doctor blow off my concerns. When something isn't right, I know it. I know doctors get a lot of hypochondriacs coming in with the disease of the week, the day afer they saw it hyped on the evening news, but dang it, they need to believe everybody, at first, 'cause not all of us are nut cases.

Funny. It looks like Paris, too. I bet it's smarter than her, though.

"Wow...that's cyst!"
