Sounds like you'll still be near your friends, so you can see them when you're not at school. The new school has basketball, which you like. You'll get a better education at the new school, and you'll get to know a whole new group of kids. You can have both -- good education and keeping your friends. Go for the new school, and congratulations!

Just go! Think of your future. You will see your friends after school and you shall make new friends. Your future is so important. This school will help you acheive your potential - public highs are full up and you will encounter behaviour problems etc that will detract from your learning experience. Be proud of yourself and aim high. You'll be fine. Play basketball and have fun.

the high school for "smart Kids" could be a great opportunity and increase your chance of getting into a good college just make sure that it is an accredited school and that you will get an actual diploma. my cousins went to a religious high school and did not get a diploma when they graduated.

I'd go to the public school with your friends and take AP classes if you are really far ahead.

depends, do you want to go to a ok/great college (it could be a little easier) and pay for it by getting new friends and having less sportly fun, or do you want to go to an ok/great (it could be harder, depending) college and have your friends and fun?
