you need an herbal expectorant. The best I know is cayenne. You must taste it on your tongue so use a tincture, not a capsule.
Also use hot sauce in water and get hot and sour soup and ask for hot chili oil and put that in it. It will help you couch it up. I use this when I have a cold.
Also put a bunch of eucalyptis essential oil on a tissue and breathe it for a long time. Using the vaporizer as suggested above with tea tree oil and eucalytis is good and add oil of oregano to it also. Eucalytis is an expectorent (makes you cough herb). I did this last night and it helped, Make sure to use 100% essential olil as found in health food store/coop.
Look online for other expectorent herbs but I have used cayenne to good effect. Also try a prduct called clear lungs (the blue bottle as opposed to red one).
The hotter the cayenne the better, You can even get 100.000 iu of heat dried cayenne and make a tea, but it will burn a lot, Get extra spicy salsa and add some tincture or powder to it.
You want to do this even if it is difficult as coughing is the body's way of responding to a crisis in the lungs. If it isn't coughed up, the germs can lie dormant and worsens striking again. Assist nature with expectorent herbs. Also chicken soup with lots of garlic and cayenne in it will help loosen the phelm.
Also try going to a steam room and liberal eucalytis oil and such as mentioned above around the room and stay in there 10 or 15 monutes breathing the steam with the expectant and germ killing oil in it. Use some lemon essential oil with it to improve smell. I once got a lemon eucalyptis combination essential oil and when someone else entered the steam room, they liked the smell, so I did'nt feel so bad for releasing the herbs in the steam room.

Yes, There are a couple things you can do:
Drink more water daily. Have chewing gum available. Put half an onion, cut in half next to you pillow ( is smelly ) but cleans the air. Gargling is a good idea too. Use Oil of Oregano to boost up your immune system. I just treated a friend with EFT, emotional Freedom technique with great success and the above remedies. Do not forget to use 2000 mg Vitamin C 4 times a day till your bowels tolerate this.

I have this too. I had four major bronchitis attacks since July. I am just getting over my fourth one. Lots of coughing and wheezing and phlegm. When it gets to the wheezing that is actually asthma.
I have taken cough medicine from the doctor, antibiotics, and asthma spray.
Eat chicken soup, tea with honey, lemon or lime, and drink a lot of orange juice. Eventually it will go away, but this year is really bad.
If you smoke, stop. If it lingers you should see a doctor.
It bugs me too, because the people that do smoke are sitting there all happy, and spreading their smog to us sensitive people.

Last year I had bronchitis and it took 4 weeks to stop coughing. If it doesn't interfere with sleep I wouldn't worry. On the other hand, if you feel that the cough if not productive, you may need more medical attention. Mucinex does work if you want over the counter medicine. Good Luck.

Sounds like u have a lot of drainage from ur sinuses. That is probably how u got the broncitis. It is probably worse when u lay down @ nite, wake up in the morning, n it wakes u up in the middle of the nite. Try drinkin lots of water n eatin dannon yogurt. Also, one medicine that help me was Delsym. They have it for adults n children for dry coughs. It will go away trust me I had it n its annoying but I did this n really work ed on keeping hydrated. If ur sinuses r bothering u that could b ur drainage so try some nasal sprays n saline.

There is a natural product that is made by Source Naturals, it is called Wellness formula. I have used this for the flu and colds and anyform of sickness, even for my allergies. It really really works. I have recommended it to several other people and they have had success with this product also. This may be a good product for you to try. Buy the Tablets and not the capsules. Mainly because you have to take twice as many of the capsules and as it is you have to take 3 tablets every 3 hours. I've found the best price to be at www.vitacost.com

It is tough to get rid of that cough - but it does go away after time. It is annoying and sometimes even embarrassing. Take plenty of vitamin C and Zinc. Try Germ Defense and Cold MD. Also get a warm vapor mist humidifier for your bedroom - you can also place tea tree oil and eucalyptus in the humidifier to help open up your bronchial passages. Good luck!

If you are not allergic to cedar, you can try to make you some cedar tea very strong of course. It will help to break up the phlem in your chest, and help with your cough. Just take several sprigs from a cedar bramch and boil for several minutes. Let steep for at least half an hour, add honey and lemon to help with the taste.

You have my sympathy. Bronchitis is a hard one to get over. It lingers on for a long time. I've had great success with a product sold at my health food store called umcka. Its a liquid that comes in a bottle that is both a syrup and drops. Its made from a plant in Africa and distributed by a company from Germany.
