I dont think that they suck, they just need some improvements.

The team is young and without vetern players (sr./jr) to go to for leadership (with the exception of Nelson), they are learning to adapt. Nelson really didnt get much playing time last year with Redick, Williams, Dockery and Melchionni on the court, so he too has to learn to be the "go-to" guy. Paulas and McRoberts are great and on the verge of being something special, they just have to grow into the system of knowing that there isnt anyone to help carry them....its all them.

I think that they are struggling because they havent adapted to the dynamics of the squad without Redick, Williams, and Dockery. Once they settle into their own groove they will get better...its something that only takes time and practice.....

A true testement to their improvements will be when they face North Carolina later on this week.....the out come of that game will eaither show there great improvements or the things that they need to improve.

Personally I think that they need to work on their backcourt....as noted the last 4 games that Duke has loss to this season has been in overtime, and caused by the battle in the backcourt. Each team, Marquette - Georgia Tech - Virgina Tech and Virgina have exceptional backcourts..so if Duke is going to improve this is definatly something that coach K needs to address!!

Duke is not really suck. They are only having a down year. Coach K is too good of a coach to let this team down. Look at the talent that they have. They don't have JJ Redick or Mike Dunleavy Jr. anymore, which both suck at the NBA.

a pair years in the past at the same time as UConn performed Kentucky contained in the perfect. both communities are traditionally solid. yet those 2 communities were a 7 seed vs. a 9 seed. A 7 vs. a 9 contained in the perfect is embarrassing for the game. something resembling that ought to not in any respect take position in yet another sport

All of you TarHole fans are so sad.

Even in a year when you're 'supposed' to be the team to beat and Duke is rebuilding, you still want to build your confidence by Duke bashing.

See you on the court on Wednesday....losers!

I agree that they are having a down year. They are still ok cuz of coach K and great D, but their talent level is nowhere near UNC. Sorry Dukies.... Greg Paulus should have stuck with football!

I don't think they suck but they have lost that dominance that made them so tough to beat last year and in the past. I think they're average at best this year.

Duke SUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKSSSSSS. To all of you who say they lost "talent" please. they are ranked 5th in the ACC right now. If you want to talk about a team that lost talent look at last years Heels they lost 85 that's right 85% of their offense that year and were predicted to finish sixth in the ACC and they had a solid 2nd. So yeah this year Duke sucks and in my heart they always suck.

they're definately not as good as last year, but w/ all the freshman on the team, they have time to improve plus losing a player like J.J. Redick would negatively impact any team
