There is one Socialist seated in Congress. Everyone else is a
Democrat or Republican and much closer to shared values of
Capitalism than Socialism. Therefore, to answer your question, based on who is an elected member of Congress thare are only American Socialists and Capitalists being represented. Political
parties abound in the USA but one must consider who recieved
the popular mandate to actually enter Congress.

I would definitely talk to the teacher and your guidance counselor. Some schools will let you graduate with your class if you promise to make up the grade in summer school.
