Considering the Mavericks have beaten the Suns both times they have played I would say 4-1 Dallas. Phoenix just does not have an answer for Dirk.

Mav will win, no doubt about it. All sun has is reigning MVP steve nash, who is responsible for creating all the easy shots for his teammates. Mav has too much weapsons, Jason terry and josh howard (who is having the breakout performance this year)to go along with steadily improved devin harris and tough low-post defensive presence of erick dampier and Diop. Not to mention their deep bench (jerry stackhouse) and we all know, if everything else fails, they still have nowitzki... Mav is a better defensive team than suns and will dominates sun on the boards... Mav's real chink in the armor is their defensive liability on the perimeter, and we all know sun can really exploit this weakness because they can flat out shooting beyond the arc. If Stoudmaire can become some kind of low post threat (but it is evident that he has lost a step or two, how many times have you seen him make shot in one-on-one situation in this season?), instead of being a straight catch-and jam player, he will be able to create more open look for three-point shooters. Sun, nevertheless, should be able to put up decent fight, because it is a team that knows what teamwork really means. My conclusion, Mav will win it in six games

Mavs. Dirk is shooting less 3s and going more inside the paint. Howard is doing what Dirk was doing, shooting 3s. Avery Johnson is doing a hell of a job motivating his charges.

Any perhaps the Mavs are the only team in the league that can match the fast-paced game of the Suns.

i think the Suns would win tho it would last the full seven games. Right now there is no one who can match their teamwork, consistencies, and motivation. Amare Stoudamire came back froma knee injury which wouldve killed most stars with even more vigor to play and has become one of the most defensive players. Not even Jason Terry can match the style and grace of Steve Nash's playing on both sides of the court. And no matter how hard Josh Howard or Dirk plays; Marion is a monster he can stomp on them anytime.

MAVERICKS! No doubt. The Suns may be good in the regular season, but when it comes postseason time, they are going downhill. You'll see!

id want the suns to win, but i dont see the point in asking when we'll probably find out during the playoffs. i dont see any other western teams getting past mavs or suns.

Mavericks would have the edge if they had home-court advantage, plus they are finishing games with much more eagerness than their opponents.
