I think it is a shame that we are only taught and hear about modern black history and aren't taught about african heritage. If we are dedicating a whole month to it then lets hear about the rich and facionating history of the african man and not just the african slave and is enpowerment.

there is not any White American history. Blacks have been very lots aside of each little thing that befell. the project develop into it develop into downplayed which led to Mr. Woodson becoming Black histoty month. the project at present is that its been REDEFINED into some variety of "ethnic" month which it particularly isnt. Its nonetheless basically American history. This additionally deliver me to the proble with "history" months. those are months that for the period of basic terms human beings of a definite history can have fun. that is why i do no longer help something exterior of Black history month. i think of that is been appreciably over carried out.

I love Black History Month. Wish we had a longer month, but we need to love this one first. I try to learn something I did not know about my family and Our people in general that I did not know. I love talking to my Grandmother about her childhood. She has lived a long life.
