I am hetero but I agree with you. I have a lot of gay friends and they put their pants on just like everyone else. I also agree with your Bible comment and get very very tired with the lack of tolerance that the very people that preach Godliness to the rest of us. When you can drink, wear to church, music, ect.. I am a Christian but I do not believe that judging another is a Christian act but one of (in my expericences) hypocricies. I have also noticed that people do not understand something they ridicule it or try to pass laws to make it go away. There are to many folks out there that are uncomfortable with things that can not be found in the Bible and lets face it almost any verse can be macabrely misinterpreted. Most of these people, in my experiences, are usually doing things that would make their pastors blush......I also do not believe that it is a choice. Why would folks set themselves up for this type of social harassment? Another opinion that I have is that humans have a tendancy to remove themselves and their behavior from the natural(animal) world. Homosexuality is quite often found in the animal world as well as violence, genocide, infanticide, and drug usage. Good luck in your quest for these answers.....

I am 100% gay and the thought of having sex with the opposite gender seems unnatural to me and the thought of it disgusts me, but just because that is the way I feel doesn't mean that everyone else feels that way.
The people who say it is a choice feel the opposite of me, but they think that everyone else should feel like they do because they are in the majority of sexual orientations. They find others who think like them, they can find hand picked quotes from the Bible so they can say that they are Christian and not bigoted, and they further justify their bigotry by existing laws that discriminate against gay people. It is easier to say "I'm right and you're wrong" than to take the time to look at things from a different perspective and actually think about it. They think it is a choice because it is something that they do not understand and are unwilling to take the time to understand.

Because they are obsessed with 'Leviticus'
Some of those people obsessed with Leviticus' prohibition of homosexuality don't even know about the book's other strictures.
There are many who are well aware of the dietary restrictions of the Old Testament, for example; but instead of dying from inattention, I think some of these rules have gone away because people consciously think, "aah--God doesn't care if I eat bacon."

People will pick the set of "facts" that back up their own opinions, and thus invent their own reality. Who are you to come along and question that? :P

Didn't choose to be gay? Every day you can re-invent yourself, and if you don't like being gay, try something else. I'm straight, but I tried gay sex once and just didn't like it.Maybe bi or transsexual relationships are what you want.
