If you want to be self employed, find out what your strengths are and work around it. there have been many businesses that have been built from scratch, be patient as a self employed and your time will come. Self employment can be satisfying as you have more freedom in selecting the hours that you work and in many cases you can start out at home using your phone and the Internet.

Service fields often are at the time schedule of the customer. If they have a deadline then you have a deadline. They have an emergency, you have the emergency, such as furnace quits working in the dead of winter and they call you to risk traveling to help them.

My wife and I partnered with a company that is a member of the Better Business Bureau. The investment was small and it allowed us to work our own hours. We have no inventory, deliveries, or repeat sales to deal with.

both are having equal priority because in service or self employement you have to take responsibility .But in self employement you feel one type of satisfaction of your own business ,but in service people have to recognise our work then only they will give promotions ,increments and one more thing is there to consider is compition in the world. if you compeated with one person another person is there to compete with you , so our mind setted for compition always than satisfaction. In self employement also we have competetors but what we are looking ,are we getting profits according to our investments and how to develop the business, compitition is some what less than service .

so my conclusion for this question is both are having equal priority , in any case we will win by our own hard work
