Mark Hamill has done the Joker for the animated series forever, he's the next best thing to Jack Nicholson. Hasn't anybody else considered him for this role? Is there anybody out there who agrees, or can explain why this is happening?

That's a great choice! I never would have thought of that, even though I know now that I should have, seeing as how well he did the Joker's voice. He even looks right. Heath is just wrong. He is a prettyboy, and looks sexy, not insane. Chris Nolan will have a hard time pulling this one off, although it is in circumstances like these when directors prove their worth. It's so crazy, it just may work. (Maybe the Joker has a sex scene!)

Well, because Heath Ledger's name will draw more people to the box office.

I think Mark Hamill is just mainly doing voice work now. He hasn't been in front of the camera in a while. Mark Hamill also doesn't have the same kind of charisma that Jack Nicholson had. I'm not saying that Heath Ledger does. He definitely wasn't my first choice for the Joker.

I just don't think that Mark Hamill could pull it off even if he has done the voice acting for the Joker. Whether or not Heath Ledger can do it remains to be seen.

I never considered Mark Hamill to be the joker in the movie, but that would be awsome! I think he might be to old though to do the physical work that the film might require. He would still be a good joker!

I agree with you on this one. While I love heath ledger,I don't think he has the , ahem, cajones to pull this off. Heath is more of a prettyboy, not a bada$$. if you get my drift.

Because Mark Hamill is not even in this decade.

Heath is now.

I agree, but they're more interested in making someone look good than in real talent.
