When I practice shooting, I notice that I will sink maybe...8-10 shots in a row. Just punch'm out, and not like easy layups, but free throws or along the arch. I hit like ten straight. But then, once I miss one, I miss ten straight. Then I make ten. Then miss ten. Obviously I can make the shot, if I can do it 10 times straight, but once I miss, I fall apart- how can I fix this. Thanks.

the best thing about a good shooter is a bad short term memory

they call it a shooting mentality, you shouldn't remember what you did your last shot only think about your next one

clear your mind or atleast think about something else

let your body take over and stop thinking about it

need to stay relaxed and focus or you will remain a streak shooter

remember that you also need to practice practice practice

It sounds corny, but it's your confidence. You have made yourself believe that the only way you can make a shot is if you made the previous one, and the only way you'll miss a shot is if you miss the previous one. Make sure that you believe you can make every shot. It will take time, but you'll work out of your groove. Try to remember what you did right when your shot went in, and, whenever you are in a bad groove, take a simple shot to get back into a hot streak.

don't know if this will help, but I used to tell shooters i coach this:

If you make 3 in a row, you will probably make the next one cuz you are hot.
If you miss 3 in a row, you will probably make the next one cuz you are due.
The point is... always think the next one is going
I got this quote from an NBA player named World B. Free (he changed his name from Lloyd). streaky shooter, but great scorer for the Cavs in the 80's.
