walk, sweep, mop, do household chores you've been told not to do for months, squats. I would not personally take any kind of natural supplement to induce labor, they are not regulated by the FDA and you never know what the side effects could be to you and your baby. If I was in your shoes I would be beginning to consider seeing a OB/GYN Mid wifes are great don't get me wrong but most doctors don't let women go very much over 40weeks anymore because of the increased chance of still birth. If nothing happens soon see a doctor and ask for pedocin (spelling?) to induce labor.

Honey,
If it feels like MENSTRUAL CRAMPS, YOU ARE IN LABOR NOW.
You'll feel an achy feeling, may have lower back pain. But, you are in labor!!
So, my doctor told me to do two things.
1. Hot showers- Frequently ---- Aim the water on your chest (it stimulates the nipples, and kick starts labor). and on your lower back, to make the cramping bearable.
2. WALK!! - Be safe about it. Go with a friend/partner for a walk. Don't go alone.
Good luck!

I'm a little surprised your doctor hasn't suggested inducing labor. Hmm. Maybe you can offer that suggestion to the doc and see what they say?!
I wish I could help you. I had the opposite problem...I had my daughter at 27 weeks by emergency c-section. It'd have been nice to have gone full-term so she wouldn't have had to stay in the NICU for 4 months...but nature works in mysterious ways!
I hope you have a healthy and happy baby...hang in there mama, it can't be much longer!

I went 42 weeks. You can take a warm shower and relax. Also drink chamomile tea. I was told to do this by a nurse. Walk a lot. I used to go to target and walk around.
