The Crime of the Century

by Paul Craig Roberts
President George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq is the greatest crime of the 21st century.

Armed with a powerful moral case against Bush, whose lies are responsible for a war that has caused thousands of U.S. casualties and killed vast numbers of Iraqi civilians, Democratic leaders are damning Bush's war because it did not succeed!

Bush was only fulfilling the mandate of the lazy, cowardly, corrupt UN. The UN had threatened the use of military force in its 17 stern resolutions against Iraq. Bush was the only one with the guts to honor those resolutions in any meaningful way.

It is now been proven that countries like France and Russia kept stalling because they were covertly being paid millions by Saddam via the Oil For Food scandal. That is the real crime!

To answer your question, its No and actually the greatest crime committed is 1 of the 3 following. 1ST Crime is what Hitler did to the Jewish People nothing worst than Genocide, and the next 2 believe it or not wasnt even illegal. 2nd Slavery, what would make one race want to treat another entire race so cruel, Seriously ask yourself what would make 1 race take mothers from there children and sale them and hang husbands and sons then rape the women, get them pregnant and sale there children again, I've been trying to figure that one out for years. Finally #3. Its the same people as # 2 What the White Man did to the Indians, Aah Man that was terrible, Take there land, slaughter almost all of them, make them live on Reservations and then create a Holiday called Thanksgiving to remind the Indians how The White Man tricked them, then Slaughter them one by one Children and all. Talk about Bush, Bush is only doing what his ansestors did. Seek and Destroy then try to convince us that what he is doing is Justice. And runner up is once again the White Man committed the crime He manage to legally hurt every race from the Chinese to the Vietnamese, Phillippines, Mexicans, Blacks,Koreans, and the Iraqis. Its all in your History book. Not once has a White Man been executed for Killing a Black Person....Never!!!!

No. What about Auschwitz? The Stalags were Hell! Let's not forget in recent history, the concentration camps in the Balkans, as Yugoslavia fractured, and regions rebelled for their own identities! Bosnia-Herzigovina's humiliation at Serbia's hands was by far a larger travesty than what is happening in Iraq. The stuff going on in Palestine, as well as in Iraq, where Arab is killing Arab is a far worse than anything Bush may have done.

Greatest crime ever committed? Of course not, that's stupid.

Greatest crime of the 21st century, as the article implies? No, that would be 9/11, or Darfur (depending on how Ameri-centric you are.)

We did a good thing, we just did it very, very badly.

Technically it's not a crime unless he did something illegal. You're asking about the moral issue of it, I believe.

As for that, no, it most certainly is not. Genocide, the Holocaust, and some oppressive governments are worse. Much, much worse.

What about slavery here, hm?

Just a thought.
