Frenquency...w/ Dennis Quaid and Jim Caveziel...my father died when I was only 18 under mysterious circumstances. That movie made me wish I could go back in time and warn my father about the events that would lead to his death so it could be avoided...I always wish I had gotten to know him better, see what he would have been like to me as an adult without the narrow vision of my youth...too bad I cried more at the movie than I did when he died. I guess I was a crappy son sometimes.

I wish I could remember the name of it! I think it had "Simon" in the title,

it had a ton of sad stuff, like for example:

this kid's a loner, kind of a dork (formulaic, i know...)

he plays in the little league, and he's never gotten a hit in the several years he's played. one day, his stepmother (his real mom died) comes to his game. she's walking too close to the field, and his first-ever hit smacks her in the head and she dies.

then all his friends die,

then he's on a school bus, and it goes somehow into a lake or something. this little kid gets his foot stuck in the seat and he can't swim out like everyone else did when the bus was still mostly above water. simon is still on board and helps the kid, freeing him. the kid goes swimming out, and simon is stuck. he almost dies, but someone gets him out and he's taken to the hospital. he dies a few days later,

kind of unrealistic, but a pretty sad movie...

For me it has to be The Iron Giant. I know its a cartoon but damn if that robot didn't touch my heart. For him to to choose to die than let the boy and the people die just gets to me. I am a 23 year old man and i can't watch this people around lol.
