Most white ppl I know that wear doo rags are bikers, they wear them while riding instead of a helmet. My brother in law wears one also but it is to protect his head fron the sun.... he has a hard time buying a regular ball cap because his head is so big, the doo rags fit better.

White people wear doo Rags, because they want to be black. The real questions should be:
1. Why do they want to be black?
2. Why do black people wear doo rags?
They just look silly.

i don't know if you've realized this, but don't you think that asking this question is a little racist to "white" people?
you shouldn't generalize things like this, they wont all wear doo-rags for the same reason. some people (like what another person said) where them for medical reasons, and some may wear them for themselves, just because. we shouldn't judge them because we do, or stereotype them, like ALL white people who wear doo-rags want to be black, because that is just plain rude and wrong.

That's like asking why guys wear pants that sag with a belt. Is the belt just for decoration or broken? We do things like that for no particular reason.

Well, if your are talking about the handkerchief type material, this goes way back...so all the people answering "cause they want to be black"...get over yourself. Most do it to help absorb sweat so it does not get in their eyes.
