Most consumer fog machines use fog fluid made of a combination of water and a chemical called glycol, which has been found to be safe in a number of studies and is not considered to be hazardous to humans, and generally used without problems. But, some people do complain of respiratory problems and throat irritation when exposed to theatrical fog.

Did it have a scent to it?? I could see if the fog had a scent, maybe the chemicals might be unhealthy. Overall, I wouldn't think it would be bad, I mean they use them everywhere, if the fog was bad for you, they wouldn't make them for public places would they? We used to have one in a band I was in, we had I believe cherry scented fog, lol......smelled pretty good.
