I have been taking advil like my Doc said. Its not really helping. I CANNOT take prednisone. What are the alternatives??

I used to live with tendonitis and can't take anti-inflamatories any more but here's the best treatment.
If it's elbow or wrist, take at least 600 mg ibuprofen (any kind, cheaper the better) at least 3 times a day for 10 days. Try to sleep with your arms straight. If you have to tuck them under your sides to do this, please do. The key is keeping the arm /muscle straight and stretched.

Try vitamin B-6. It helped me after taking it for a couple of days.

Put ice on it. Or try Aleve if you can take that.
