What is the best site to get an idea of the value of a property I want to purhase? I am looking at HUD homes and am wondering were I can find an idea of the potential value of the property?

On HUD homes, the listing office is not allowed to represent the buyer. Due to this, you need to get a buyers agent. Do not buy from the company that has the sign in the yard (or window). Ask your Realtor to give you a market analysis on the house.
If you're just looking at the HUD houses on the internet, stop doing that. You need a licensed real estate agent to submit a bid for you, so get a good buyers agent to start off and have them include other listings as well. IF a HUD home is the listing that fits you, then buy it.
