Uhhh.... I dont really know about Indie, but there are a lot of bands that arent really "mainstream" yet, like The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Other than that I would definately recommend Green Day, especially their older material. Insomniac is by far their best album in my opinion. Dookie is a classic as well.
