PS3 has a bigger hard drive, comes with a Blu-Ray disc, has the Cell processor which is FASTER than Xbox, supports WiFi built in, and is backed by Sony, the leader in console video games.

PS3 is the better system for the future.

You get a few more big titles on the 360 that you don't have on the PS3. However, the PS3 does have some very good titles like Metal Gear and Uncharted. But honestly whether you like the 360 or PS3 better will be your own personal opinion. I ended up getting both and love both. But if you're torn, if you also love movies and need a Blu Ray player, the PS3 may be your best choice. The PS3 is by far the best Blu Ray player for the money you'll spend on it. It costs less than many Blu Ray Players, works better than most other players, and you get a video game console out of it. If you're still torn between the two, check out the controllers of the two consoles. Maybe you'll think the PS3 controller is too small or you don't like the design of the 360 controller. No matter which you pick though, you'll have a good console.

I can tell you right now that when you compare the two and are worried about price, it comes out to be a MUCH better deal for the ps3

When comparing the 2 better systems of each, these are the ps3 advantages: (aka, ps3 has more things included for only $200 more

-40 more gigabytes on hard disk drive (xbox has 20 while ps3 has 60)
-100% backwords compatibility with ps2 and ps1 games
-Built-in WiFi card ($100 add-on to xbox 360 premium)
-Built in hi-def movie player = blu-ray ($149 HD-DVD drive add on to xbox)
-HDMI Output (xbox cant achive hightest res: 1080p)
-Memory Stick reader (...xbox cant do that, period)
- No need to pay $$$ for online gaming, friends, messages, all that is free on ps3 (monthly fee for xbox live)
-PS3 discs (blu-ray) can hold 50GB of data (more resolution and more depth and story and niceness of games) where as xbox 360 games are the normal 8GB dvds (pitiful)
-Hook up to the psp to add more features in future games, such as a second screen for a map or something like you saw on the Nintendo DS
-Games suck right now but will eventually catch up with 360s games.

The correct question you mean is the following:

Which is better, Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, and why is it the better of the two?

I've heard Nintendo Wii is the best.

Xbox 360, because it is not a rip off. It has great graphics and a great online community. I have played both a lot, and the Xbox is muuuch better.
