That's so funny you're asking this question because 6 months ago I didn't know if I wanted the contour case or the agent 18 either so I flipped a coin and went with agent 18. So far I don't have a single scratch on my ipod but you can see a little fading on the click wheel because obviously it's not protected. Since there are so many holes for all of the cables you're going to get some dust inside the case so expect to take it apart once in a while and wipe off the little particles built up on your ipod and insides of the case. If you're the type that likes to watch movies or play games on your ipod outdoors you're going to notice a huge glare from the sun and the images are going to be very dark so maybe you'd have to remove the front part of the case to see everything on the screen. The case doesn't scratch easily but over a few months of wear and tear you're going to notice slight scratches on the screen area but it won't affect the picture a whole lot. Don't get me wrong though. As far as looks go I really like it more than any other case I've owned and I think I just might buy a fresh one every 6 months because so far I don't like any other ipod case out there in the market.
