Just approach her with a smile on your face and be nice to her. Tell her that you really don't mind her company and that everything's cool between you guys.

Since you don't really wanna hang out with her too much, ask her if she has some hobbies or if she does anything fun. Encourage her to get out and get to know some other people and have a life. Don't be rude about it and keep smiling so she knows your being honest in a kind manner.

Celebrities have to deal with this all the time. All they do is ask the person what she would like to do and encourage her to pursue it. If she keeps following you though, you have to draw the line and figure out when to actually start ignoring you. If it does get to the point where she's being dramatic and all, let her make a fool of herself and stay quiet no matter how much she yells at you or accuses you of something. She'll lose all of her credibility and when people start asking you if it really happened, you can deny it with their complete faith in hand.

Remember the phrase "What comes around, goes around" or something like that? If she started saying something nasty about you, maybe you should try something (nit as nasty) about her. You should think about something that might help you so she could back off a bit so you can go back to normal life. Sometimes, the best advise is walk up to her and apologize to her for what you did and give her a reason why you had broke up with her. If you don't have a reason, just say the first thing of what you think, as long as it is reasonable so you don't hurt her again or she could get nastier if you keep hurting her feelings.

Let her be, you will find that in life there will be friends that you will have to leave by the sidelines because people change, some for the better and some for the worst, no matter what you just continue to be you. I know it will be hard, but ignore her, ignore her to the utmost and then see who misses who.

i dont think you did the right think by avoiding her and not letting her know to give you some space but whats done is done. i think that if you dont want to be her friend let her know that and move on.
