I keep seeing people say black people didn't get here until slavery.
But Columbus's own journal describes seeing Africans in when he arrived Panama. That's just one example.

I wont mention the fact Columbus got the idea to sail to the new world from the west Africans. He documents his own extensive contct with west africans in his journals.

Ever hear of Ra II. This was a voyage conducted by Thor Hyradhal in the 70's or 80's. At any rate he proved that Egyptian papyrus boats could have transversed the Atlantic ocean. If you study Egyptian history you would find that the Ethiopians often were found in Egypt-they were different from the Egyptian as they were true Africans and not Mediterranean as many Egyptians were. So based on this and the evidence of cultural influence from Egypt and Ethiopia in the MesoAmerican cultures it is not a surprise to me to hear of this. There is allot in the histories that is wrong. For instance the first people enslaved by the English in North America, Jamaica and so forth were not African, but Celts-Irish, Scots and Welsh. They were freedom fighters or soldiers that fought against the English and were captured. They were sold as slaves and not as indentured servants. An indentured servant had been a freeman prior to the indenture and would be once it was over. The Irish, Scots and Welsh didn't have that opportunity.

Some facts: 1. North America was settled by people over the Bering Street 20,000 years ago. This people came originally from the east coast of Africa and had left there 40,000 years ago, traceable by DNA tracers. 2. The African and American Continents, where at one time a super continent, before they drifted apart, which they still. Many plants and animals where common between the continents. 3. I don't believe, that there have ever been peaceful humans, or humans more peaceful then others, as you indicate. Humans are by their very nature very aggressive, but some developed more successful tools for war then others. 4. A study of DNA tracers could reveal, if their ever have been contact around 1200 B.C., so far it has not. this does not exclude a contact. 5. How little influence a small group can have, shows the 100 years of settlement of Vikings in Nova Scotia. Even Jamestown was doomed, from the first 6000 settlers, 200 barely survived. Only the environmental destruction of new species they introduced and the Malaria, which killed Millions of natives, changed America forever. There may or may not have been contact. There are currents, which could bring accidentially rafts from Africa to South America. But no real trade. Cultural similarities can be explained several ways. The Phoenizians had a very advanced maritime technology, I would almost make a bet, one or two vessels made it to South America, 1200 B.C., maybe even Vikings around 700 A.D. But I doubt, they made it ever back alive. Keep the ideas coming, its always good to rattle common conceptions.
