I was just wondering how many of you (or people you know well) got pregnant while on the birth control pill. I know that taking antibiotics and missing pills messes it up but have any of you gotten pregnant while taking the pill on time and not missing any or being on antibiotics? Also, if someone does get pregnant while on the pill is there a higher risk of miscarriage? (I heard that taking a few pills before knowing that you're pregnant won't hurt the baby but I haven't heard about the miscarriage part). I'm just curious about this (slightly worried) and would like to know real life experiences not statistics!

one of my friends never missed a pill or even took it more then an hour later then usual(seeing as you have a 2 hour frame to take it she was always with in the two hours). on top of that she used a condom every time she had sex. now she has a 1 month old son. She was one of the FEW girls who fall into that small percentage.

Another friend took her pill every morning when she woke up so around 7:30 she did every day there was only one day when she took it late she said she took it 8 hours late so at 3:30 in the afternoon. Then found out she was pregnant a few weeks later.

No the pills will not harm the fetus. both of my friends i just told you about continued taking their pills almost a full month befor they found out they were pregnant.

dont worry about it because its a small chance you are pregnant. relax and try not to think about it. Take a test in two weeks with your first morning urine and you should have an accurate result.
good luck.

I was on the pill for 4 years then switched to the patch for 2 years then back to the pill..and got pregnant. I was on Antibiotics when I got pregnant so it really does mess with the pill. But I dont think you have to worry about a miscarriage as long as you stop taking the pill when you find out your pregnant. Good Luck

Took the pill for the 2 months before I found out I was pregnant so yes you can get pregnant on the pill and haven't heard about the miscarriage thing but I will tell you I have a handsome, healthy, 2 yr old boy!

I was once on beginning manage for 7 years, (seeing that I was once 15), didn't take it on time about two months ago, and now i am eight weeks pregnant. Believe me, the capsule is not one hundred%, the one means that you could be definite about being pregnant or not is to go to a Dr. I took 3 being pregnant experiment they usually all got here out bad! So, believe me, take your butt to the Dr. That's the ony way that you could find out the reality. Take care!

I did and I N-E-V-E-R, NEVER missed a pill (my mother stayed on me and wouldn't let me miss any.)I only got preg. because antibiotics and birth control pills do not mix the meds prevent the affects of the pill from doing what it's supposed to do,I was on amoxicillin cause that's what they give people who don't have medical insurance ,but who have colds.

lol guess u dumb @sses have not watched the news. it has been determined that birth control is 100 percent effective. the only women who become preg on it are the ones who lie and dont take it properly so.... it was on the news although i always new that was situation . so no more 99 percent accurate talk ok? time to grow up women and take the pill as directed. p.s if u are on birth control and u become preg the father will no longer be responsible for child support.
