What are some really good mp3 freeware recorders?

I had a really good freeware mp3 recorder, that went to shareware. If you know of any 100% free mp3 recorders for streaming radio, please list them, along with the link if possible. Thank you.

I downloaded it yesterday and it won't allow me to uninstall it. It starts up automatically when I start my computer, and when I try to uninstall it, it tells me it can't as it's still open, although I've closed it by clicking the x. My browser has also started opening at a different page since I installed it. I made sure only to install the programme itself.
