Did you know that everyone is born a Democrat. Babies need someone to take care of them. Food, shelter, and help learning right from wrong. Most people grow up and become Republican. They take care of them selves and become successful and happy people. Democrats never grow up and stay dependant and needy. They look to Republicans to help them through life.

Wrong, you can't be born a member of a political party since you have to be 18 to register with a political party.

Its an impressive story, but its a bit vague. Do you own your home or are you paying a mortgage? How much did you put down? How much is the home worth? Does your business have a storefront or location or do you operate out of a truck or van? Where and how did you acquire the capital necessary to begin the business, to grow, and ensure that it will get through the tough times you mentioned? What kind of employees do you have? Do they have health and dental insurance and make at least minimum wage? Are the employees full time? Do they receive lawful overtime compensation when applicable? How did you receive the 8 years of training necessary to do this job? Did you know how to do the skill before you acquired the company? Where did you work to acquire the capital to buy or make a down payment on your home and business? Do you really think that anyone believes that a 20-something living in the most economically depressed part of the country actually owns his home, has a thriving business with fully compensated employees, and all the time is raising a child? And that you did this with now windfall from inheritance, a lawsuit, gambling, or government grants? Or the home you own could be a trailer, you could have a business you operate out of a second hand van with under the table workers and you leave the child's mother to raise your daughter. Anyway, if you do research on any major employer in your state, whether it be a factory or large chain like WalMart, what you will find is that these employers pay almost no taxes and every year get massive government subsidies. Their property, patents, and copyrights are protected by the government and they are legally chartered entities. These companies and the people who own them did not pull themselves up by the bootstraps and become hardened by free market discipline. They are protected from the ravages of the free market by grants, subsidies, tax breaks, lax regulations, property protections at the public's expense and other benefits. The only thing these companies pull is the levers of power, and you can tell by those who contribute to campaigns-both Democrat and Republican, who staff the important government positions like the Departments in the Executive cabinets and who write and collaborate in writing legislation.

Here, let's make a deal.

You can be a rugged individualist. You can not pay any taxes. You can not help or work with anyone.

I will pay taxes and will work to support the rest of society.

As a result of your opting out of society, you can't use the roads (I paid for them, you didn't), you can't call the police, you can't get ambulance service, and if your house is burning down... I hope you have a bucket and a well handy, because you're not using my sewers and you didn't pay for my fire department.

Further, you can't get any insurance, of any kind... since sharing is strictly off-limits for a rugged individualist....

Sound like a good deal?

...everyone needs support. Only a spoiled (Republican) child thinks otherwise.

Actually, truth be told, we're all born Democrats... and those selfish brats who cry because someone else might be getting some attention become Republicans. Democrats go through life supporting Republicans as you kick and scream...

Really? I see you like to generalize. Perhaps in time, we can crown you the king of yahoo answer generalizing. In fact, I'll crown you right now. You see ignorant one, I was a registered republican at the age of 18. Then after seeing Reagan rape the environment for eight years, I decided I had enough and now vote democratic. I've worked in the defense industry for 25 years, and I'm guessing I have helped support at least a few red state welfare recipients with my tax paying dollars. So I guess i broke the mold idiot.

Stereotypes, stereotypes, my friend. There are plenty of Democrats who aren't like this. If you're just going to turn them against us, then why can't you state your opinions in a forum for only Republicans? This petty little insult war isn't helping the country at all, only dividing it.

This is like what was happening right before the civil war. Replace everything you've just said about Democrats with the word "Southerner" and the Republicans with "Northerners". It's no wonder the South split away!

Since you will pay the $9 trillion debt ran up by Republicans in taxes. You may want to find a job.

How old were you when you were handed your opinion?

Are you aware that the "blue" states pay more into the funds that feed and cloth the "red" states poor? The bible belt has more divorce and abortion, too. Your idea of a "Democrat" isn't nearly accurate, but I'm sure you don't care.

You are one mixed up American and to be frank I'm glad you're not speaking for my side.
