What kinds of streches should i do if i want to do my right splits? I need to do them pretty soon so help quick!! I'm pretty close but i feel like i'm getting no where when i strech. Show pictures and websites and tips please!!

Oops sorry- need to do the side splits not the center splits- should have made that more clear. Keep answering!!

side split stretches:
1st stretch:take a thick book and put it down on the ground then put one of your feet on it and go down into the splits position as far as u can and hold it there for like 2 minutes and switch legs.then do it without the book.
2nd stretch:put one leg straight in front and the other leg fully bended and try to touch your foot that is straight and hold it for like 1 min then switch legs.
3rd stretch do the splits as far as u can down and hold it for 1 or 2 mins and switch legs.
4th stretch:if u can do the splits then hold your front foot for 30sec-1min then sit straight and bend your back and extend your arms backwards and do it with the other leg.
5th stretch: do lunges

middle splits:
stretch:do it as far down as u can and hold it there for 1 or 2min and rest for a few minutes and do it again.


and yoga would help

First of all, you should only stretch when you are already warmed up. Secondly, don't try to push it to the point of pain. Check out the New York City Ballet Workout 2 on dvd. Most libraries or video/dvd stores have a copy, or you can buy it at Target. If you are close, get warmed up, then practice stretching for about 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night. Try sitting with 1 leg bent behind you and the other straight in front. Grab your foot and bend over trying to stretch as far as you can and hold it and try to relax into it. Then do the other side. Check out yoga dvd's, too.

Hmm. It takes practice and you have to be able to do that from a young age, otherwise you could injure yourself badly. Start slow and keep doing a little more every day. See if that helps. Oh, and make sure you stretch first.

Just do the splits as far as youcan, then, bob up and down, and try to inch yourself down to the ground. When I first started dancing, it took me two weeks to do the splits using that strategy every day for like 5 min in the morn and 5 in at night.

just stretch every day....3 times a day.because i did i do my splits to but im sitting already but when i was little ya thats how i did..so ya try dont stop:]

properly do it wide-spread. heres wut our coach did:: IT WORKD now each body has thier splits. -so splits as far as u can,, get sum1 2 sit on u or push u down sum how. -have them degree how far u ar off the floor. - and as many inches u ar off, thats what number pushups u do xs one hundred. -quickly,, ull commence gettin closer. it reallii works. yet hurts! haha. - u may also oversplit it via putting ur leg on proper of sumin above floor fer about 5 minutes. it extremely works. -u also lay on the floor via a wall, positioned ur legs && butt up antagonistic to the wall && spread ur legs out. u can positioned weights on ur legs 2 lead them to flow down better. -then turn over and hav ur abdomen agenst the floor. then spread ur legs out and push ur crotch haha agenst the wall with ur legs nonetheless spread out. desire i helped!! :]

Don't do it. You are likely to hurt yourself trying.
