With today's media? No way.

As soon as one soldier was killed on D-Day it would be an 'unjust war.'

Well, up until Pearl Harbor, the majority of Republicans in Congress were isolationists. After Pearl Harbor, everyone got on board with Roosevelt (kind of like Democrats immediately after 9/11), and we went on to kick some Imperialist Japanese and Nazi behind.

The thing about WWII is, it only took 4 years, and we had a real, tangible victory. Media was mostly propaganda (because the Jews controlled it... joking, joking), and there were very few "critics" of the war.

It's now been nearly six years since 9/11, and the only real victories we've had are toppling the Taliban (hardly as big as toppling the Nazi Warmacht), and capturing, trying, and killing Saddam (but Iraq's still in shambles).

So, yes, we could have won. We would have won. And we can win today, if we stopped fighting a politician's war.

It's people like you with you simplistic mentality that is the reason this country is so divided. FDR was a liberal Democrat and the Republicans were by no means calling for us to intervene. In fact, they were isolationists.

Studies done reviewing every story published or reported over the past 5 years indicate a balance of reporting. And I always love how conservatives seem completely unaware that there are more outlets that skew right than there are ones that skew left. Where's the alternative to Fox News?

You seem to have completely left out the reasons for the Second World War, both in Europe and the Pacific. There was a valid fight in WWII. Iraq was completely fabricated on lies.

If you read history books from...pretty much anywhere else, you'll see that the United States really only added numbers. If you stop and think about it, Britain was able to fight off the Germans for years before the United States entered the war. The Germans took over several other countries fairly quickly, but could never take Britain. With the numbers of the United States military, the momentum could start to shift against Germany. If the United States had remained neutral until Germany controlled all of Europe, we'd be in a Nazi state today.

I thought other countries helped win that war. Three quarters of the crack German troops were on the Easter front and the western Allies held their own until the Japanese blew America
out of the water so US could come into another war at the end and as usual say "WE won the war."

Yes. Two big distinctions for you buddy: Germany and Japan declared War on the U.S. They both attacked us. We retaliated.
We were justified .

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or Al Qaeda. Our invasion of Iraq was not justified.

i agree The media seem to be coming out with alot of the same opinions. With reporter after reporter spouting whatever is the most popular opinion at the time. Its sickening they act like we dont have brains enough to do the research ourselves and form our own opinion. Oh wait, they are right to assume that at least the people who voted democrat are listening to the and not doing their research lol

If I had too % it may be Britain as they have been the only genuine united states of america from start to end who have been interior the allies. Plus Hitler grew to become into making plans approaches to invade united statesa. after the take over of england which in no way got here approximately. so which you will possibly desire to provide Britain credit for the rustic which in no way gave in. united statesa. in basic terms have been given in touch one simply by fact of Pearl Harbour and a pair of the British had to pay them to assist them in D-day, that's rather stupid simply by actuality that faster or later united statesa. could be under attack in the event that they did not connect. whether you would be unable to write united statesa. off simply by Hawaii and for helping the allies in D-day, yet with no unfastened Britain interior the forty's it could have been harder to push the Nazi's lower back simply by geographical area, we could face it you will discover mainland Europe on a sparkling day from the two Dover or Dungeness and the subsequent nearest place could have been Iceland with little militia kit or centers making it harder for united statesa. to push the Nazi's lower back in the event that they might in any respect, yet I do stand by that D-day might have failed with out American tips. in my opinion i think of Britain gained the conflict yet we could be happy it ended the way it ended with the defeat of the Nazi's.

Comparing the two wars is like comparing cheese to monkeys (screw apples and oranges). Back then, we wouldn't have entered the ridiculous Iraqi war...

WWII was supported by everyone pretty much once it started - liberals and conservatives alike.

You insult those who serve today, and those who served during WWII with your comment/question.

And to answer - yes we would have one with the media we have today, and the liberals that we had then, and have now...
