I soaked (alot) used a ton of soap and hot water but nothing. And I don't want to just throw out his shirts and continue to buy them...to much $$$ in that.

I like to use OxyClean on my hubby's shirts before I stick them in the wash. The thing to remember is to treat the area before you wash it, otherwise it will get stuck into the fabric via the dryer. Pre-washing is the key, but if they are already stinky, try washing them with the appropriate bleach. For fresh stains use ammonia, and for older stains soak with vinegar. Re-wash and dry as normal. This should do the trick. I hope this helps you out.

Tell him it's time to change deodorant . If there stinky either the stuff isn't killing the bacteria that's causing the Oder or he goes to long between showers. Two hints one is Febreze fabric freshener it does wonders on Oder's and the other is go-Jo, the original. Rub that in good in the shirt armpit and then wash it. That's powerful stuff and will get most anything out.

Have you tried soaking them in a solution of 1 cup baking soda to a gallon of hot water? Baking soda is a great odor remover! If it continues to be a problem, you can buy shirt shields that go between the underarm area and the shirt. I've seen them in the sewing departments of major craft and discount stores. If perspiration is a serious problem, his doctor can prescribe a cream that will gradually reduce sweating.

Sounds like his deodorant is the problem. Once you wash and dry clothes for that long of a time, you're not going to get rid of the stains and smell. Buy some new shirts and have him switch deodorants.

When they are washed, try storing them in an air tight container with a few fabric sheets that are normally used in the dryer. This should mask out the smell. You can also try spraying them with Fabreez. Good luck!

Do you wash his shirts with anything else? Maybe your washing machine is not working correctly, and you only notice it with his clothes because they stink.

Have you tried OxyClean? That stuff does almost anything. Trust me, I have a seven month old.

Do you use fabric softener? Buildup can leave a coating on the clothes trapping the dirty stuff in.
